The Giving Hour

The Greek poet Homer once said, “The charity that is a trifle to us can be precious to others.”

Chatterbox PR believes in giving back to the community that it lives and works in. But that doesn't have to involve just monetary donations. We believe that giving of your time, energy, talents and expertise is just as important and has as much impact as donating money. And it doesn't have to be a lot of your time, it can be an hour a day, an hour a week or even an hour a month. Every little bit helps. That's an hour of time and talent that otherwise would not be there for someone or some organization that really needs it.

That's why we take to heart the concept of “The Giving Hour.” Spend an hour at a food bank or at a pet shelter, handing out flyers or volunteering at an event that raises money for charity.

Chatterbox has a strong tradition of giving back to the community through pro-bono work, volunteering and supporting causes that are important to the community. In this way Chatterbox has donated more than $975,000 in the past ten years, including time, energy and talents to the community and various charities we feel make a difference in people's lives.

And we will continue to do so. “The Giving Hour” is not just a concept, but an everyday reality here at Chatterbox.

We truly do believe in the old adage, “It's better to give than to receive.”
